It’s not every day you touch perfection. Our Villa Bibbiani Rosso IGT ("R") has just been consecrated by Luca Maroni, one of the world's most respected critics, with a massive 97/99 points in the 2026 Yearbook.

Described as a "champion not only in virtues but in composition," this exceptional blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot stands out for its creamy consistency and absolute purity of fruit.

Blend:  Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot & Petit Verdot

Vineyard: From vineyards of Villa Bibbiani, Treggiaia Hill

Planting Year: 1990-2020

Density per hectare: 5 000  plant/ha

Yield per hectare: 6 tons

Vine training system:  Spurred cordon and guyot

Vinification: Grapes are manually collected, with double sorting of the bunches in the field and in the cellar. They are then introduced into steel tanks through gravity and vinified at a controlled temperature of 25°C. Here, for a period varying between fifteen to twenty days, the alcoholic fermentation and the maceration of the skins take place, during which are carried out only through gentle punchdowns. After malolactic fermentation in steel, a period of ageing in wood barrels follows.

Maturation and ageing: All the different varieties age separately in barrels of french oak for a period of 9 months before to be blended.

Tasting notes: With its intense ruby red colour, “R” IGT is distinguished by its intensity and aromatic richness. International and charming, a Tuscan expression of a Bordeaux blend. Spicy and sweet nose with black and red fruits, a rich and unique bouquet. An elegant and
seductive wine, with silky and soft tannins that supports its depth.
