Pulignano IGT Toscana 2019
Pulignano IGT Toscana 2019
A 100% Sangiovese wine, capable of evolving over time. It tells a fascinating story of authenticity and style.
Blend: Sangiovese 100%
Vineyard: Pulignano.
Planting Year: 1968
Density per hectare: 3.500 strains
Yield per hectare: 3 tons
Vine training system: Guyot
Vinification: Grapes are manually collected, with double sorting of the bunches in the field and in the cellar. They are then introduced into steel tanks through gravity and vinified at a controlled temperature of 25 °C. Here, for a period varying from fifteen to twenty days, the alcoholic fermentation and the maceration of the skins take place, during which are carried out only gentle punch-downs. After malolactic fermentation in steel, a period of ageing in wood follows.
Maturation an ageing: 16 months of ageing in large 25 hectolitre barrels made of French
oak.
Tasting notes: Pulignano IGT is a wine with a bright ruby red colour. The nose is delicate and complex: the notes of ripe fruit, cherry and violet stand out, in perfect harmony with spicy and slightly toasted hints. The palate is vibrant and enveloping, with soft tannins that enhance the aromas, with persistence and elegance. The finish is rich in scents of currants, berries and tobacco. A 100% persuasive and fine Sangiovese able to evolve over time.
