“The 2018 Montereggi, a varietal Cabernet Sauvignon, is darkly alluring with masses of ripe dark fruits, monthly herbs and hints of balsamic spice. It’s silky-smooth and racy in style. Graphite and coco touches complicate polished red and black berry notes. This finishes with admirable length, leaving echoes of black licorice as fine tannins form a classically dry sensation. The Montereggi possesses a beautiful balance that will promote medium-term cellaring. This is a lovely Tuscan Cabernet; well done.”
