Vinification: the grapes are manually collected with a careful selection of grapes. The must obtained from destemming and light crushing of the grapes is introduced into steel tanks through gravity and vinified at a controlled temperature of 25/28°. Here alcoholic fermentation and maceration of the skins take place for a period ranging from fifteen to twenty days.
Maturation and ageing: eight months in 25 hectolitre Slavonian oak barrels and in a small percentage in French oak barriques
Tasting notes: Harmonious, balanced and with a long finish, our Chianti Montalbano DOCG is the most characteristic expression of our area. The wine has a bright red colour and a bouquet of cherry and small red fruits. Soft and enveloping tannins, together with a pleasant freshness, giving great elegance to this typical Tuscan wine.
